Where is the Android 2.1 update for the Hero? Sprint got theirs last week!
Wish#2: I would say more Android phones, but I’m kind of stuck with this Hero for 2 years. I would love to see a version of the Nexus.

I want the new dell “mini 5″ phone with the 2.2 android platform and snapdragon 1.5 ghz processer. at&t will be carrying it this year and by spring of next year, i may change to at&t along with family members and friends. I wish that cellular south had more different brand android phones to choose from. It’s too bad that many customers will switch carriers because of better products being offered.

I agree with Kevin, parents should have the ability to print out their minor childs text messages to ensure safety. This should be a feature on everyone parents phone or at least be able to pull it up on the website.

We know Android users are anxious for the release of Android 2.1. We also know you expect quality products and service from Cellular South. As part of our rigorous testing processes we apply to all new products and services, we’ve uncovered some performance issues with the latest version of Android 2.1. We feel it would be a disservice to our customers to release software before fully resolving these issues with the manufacturer.
Please be assured our teams are doing everything possible to bring Android 2.1 to you as soon as possible. -

I would like for you to have something for customers thats been with you as long as I have. I’ve been a customer with you for many, many years now. You don’t have anything showing us your support for being with you this long. I don’t even get a phone cover or anything when I purchase a phone. It is disappointing to know I’ve been with this company for many, many years now & it’s like you don’t appreciate us staying with your company. We have three phones with this company. Thank you for listening & maybe considering this..

I agree with giving old devoted customers something special like early contract termination to get a new version of your phone without having to pay an arm and leg to get out of contract. It’s obvious we are not going anywhere! I have been with Cellular South since 1997 and have been a faithful customers and now I have three phones with Cellular South. I have paid tons and tons of money for new phones cause when I buy one a better comes out the next month. Thank you and maybe just a little something to consider.

@Mitch
I agree. I know to get new customers carriers offer the 2year discount, but I feel that the customers that they already have should get something if they want to upgrade early. I have never understood how the carriers could only offer specials to new customers and not the loyal ones that have been with them for years. -

Give us a deal to trade in Blackberry for Android

Please come out with the Android update for the Hero. I know a few people with Sprint who’ve already gotten theirs.
Also, will the update finally allow Hero users to watch videos on YouTube?

OMGOSH…Whats the point in having this if no one is going to give u any answers back? The reason they offer things when contract is up or to get people to change to them..That way they have ur contract w/them for a limited time. Guess the reason they dont offer any specials or discounts to ones that have been w/them is why should they..We r already w/them & they have our service…

MIME types describe the media type of content either in email or served by web servers or web applications and are intended to help guide a web browser in how the content is to be processed and displayed. Examples of MIME types are text/html for normal web pages, application/x-java-applet for Java applets and application/pdf for Adobe® PDF documents.
Web browsers tell to web servers which media types they are capable of processing, while web servers respond to web browsers with the requested media and the media (or MIME) type of the content which was returned. This negotiation between web browsers and web servers over the type of content to be served is critical to the web.

I agree with the others that suggested a parental control for the texting and web veiwing of minor children that are covered under the same plan. I would also like to know if there is an audio aux cable that will attach to my hero and the cigarette lighter to listen to my HTC hero music thru my car? Does that make any sense?

theresialynn
thank u for answering back..yeah I but it’s bad when I get on CS & click on get to know my phone & it want let me on page…says I need to up grade my brower.. thanks…

Kim, I don’t know of any way you could plug your Hero into the cigarette lighter to play music, but there are two ways I know of that you could play music through your Hero in the car. The first method would be purchasing an FM transmitter that hooks up via the audio jack and plays through a radio channel that you would select. This option would be more expensive, but it would likely be much easier. The other option is purchasing an auxilary audio cable that would run from your Hero to an auxilary port on your CD player in the vehicle. These cables usually only cost about $10, but you may have to take the CD player out and plug the cable into the back of the CD player. I certainly hope this helps you out!

I would love to have tethering activated. I think that would be a GREAT PLUS. Why have the technology when you can’t use. In this day and age I think it would go over well. I don’t know how CS gets phones, but a better line-up would be nice.
